About 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide, the pastry is created by winding spirals of thin pastry strips around a cone-shaped metal tube before being glazed and baked. When making a sweet variety, it’s common practice to coat the dough in sugar before baking.

Mennonites from Austria-Hungary introduced cream roll chocolate to North America. It became a mainstay at weddings, first Communions, and Christmas festivities among Danube immigrants. Cream roll chocolate is a delectable dessert adored worldwide.
